- Extreme Associates has announced the June signing of legendary adult performer Ashlyn Gere to perform in ó and possibly direct ó four or five features for the company over the next year. Gere's first project under this exclusive contract is a leading role in the video feature Rubber, which was directed by Extreme partner Rob Black. Gere performs two sex scenes in the video, including an all-girl three-way and a boy/girl with anal. Rubber should be available to retailers now.\n "Tommy [Byron] is 'The Icon' and Ashlyn is 'The Legend,'" noted Black, who also said he intended to promote Gere's signing, as well as his company's recent association with Extreme Championship Wrestling [see the Loose Lips Special Report in this issueóEd.], by giving away "Icon," "Legend," and "Black Death" T-shirts and hats during a press conference at last month's VSDA convention in Las Vegas.\n "This is huge," boasted Black. "Just a few months ago, there were people in the business who didn't think we'd make it, and now we've got Ashlyn Gere... She used to be a Vivid Girl, she's in the [AVN] Hall of Fame, and now she's with Extreme.\n "It's the hostile takeover, man. We're kickin' ass."
