Asa Akira Makes Offer to Obama, Romney for 2013 AVN Awards

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—AVN Media Network is offering Barack Obama and Mitt Romney a chance to bounce back after the grueling presidential campaign: Whoever loses the election will be invited to co-host the 2013 AVN Awards with adult stars Asa Akira and Jesse Jane.

"We've all been following the campaign since Iowa and New Hampshire, and I can imagine how hard it's been for the people who've been living it every day," Akira said. "This will give our host the chance to kick back as an honored VIP guest and get some serious national television exposure as co-host of the awards. It could be a kickoff for 2013!"

A personal video invitation from Akira can be seen here.

The 30th Anniversary AVN Awards Show takes place Jan. 19, 2013 at The Joint in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and promises to be the biggest AVN Awards yet.

Adult stars Jesse Jane and Asa Akira are scheduled to co-host the 2013 show, with a special musical performance by hip-hop sensation Tyga and other surprises throughout the night.

A staple for 30 years, the AVN Awards show is the adult industry’s biggest night, and the awards themselves are the industry’s highest honor. With a stylish red carpet pre-show and lavish star-studded ceremony, the AVN Awards celebrate outstanding achievements in the world of adult entertainment in a must-attend, must-see event featuring the hottest stars from adult and mainstream pop culture.

The official invitation to co-host will be sent after the election on Nov. 6.
