Aquarius Broadcasting Corporation has announced the launch of its adult Video On Demand service, Sizzling Sex On Demand.
“Because of the success generated by the particular type of programming we’ve recently developed, the demand by cable providers has exceeded our expectations, and pushed our initial launches up to May and June into 1,000,000 VOD households,” said Robert Herrera, CEO of Aquarius. “[That’s] a significant achievement, considering we’ve only been operational two months.”
Herrera then touched on Aquarius’ June launch of a new XXX rated service, Sizzling XXX Sex. “The migration from XX to XXX has begun in cable-delivered VOD, and we intend to very quickly become a dominant force in this new delivery arena.”
John Chambliss, president and programming head of Aquarius noted, “When I sold my interest in Deep Star last year, I had every intention of exiting adult VOD, but the challenges and opportunities have pulled me back into partnership with Robert....I’ve just signed a seven-year exclusive programming agreement with Aquarius.”
“Additionally, I’ve spoken with Simon Wolf, who will be creating a very special series, exclusive to our new service.”
Chambliss continued, “I’m happy to again be working with the same studios, producers and directors who have recently demonstrated their exceptional delivery strength through our competition … now they belong to Aquarius’ ever-growing family of filmmakers, and include Simon Wolf, Pleasure Productions, Video Team, Lethal hardcore, Third World Media, Illicit Pictures, K-Beech, Angel Pictures, Jill Kelly Productions, Pacificom, Oriental Dream Pictures, and Combat Zone.”
Chambliss also noted, “We’re extremely fortunate to have acquired the services of Erin Elmiger as Aquarius’ vice president of affiliate sales. In addition to extensive VOD experience, Erin embraces the all important elements of drive, integrity and professionalism.”
