Appleton Forms Avalon

Gigi Appleton, who, until last week was partners with Luc Wylder in Fallen Angel, comes out roaring April 1 with her own company, Avalon Enterprises and two new releases. Appleton's particularly amused by some of Wylder's bon voyage comments made about her on this site. [Wylder claims he was misquoted and that his comments were taken out of context.] Nevertheless, Appleton ran with the cynical ball when we caught up with her yesterday.

Appleton: "I'm sitting here, comfortable, doing my own small little thing. I'm so comfortable, I can't tell you. Did you misquote him? [Wylder]. He says you misquoted him. Maybe we should count the rings on my vagina and see how old I really am. Actually the break-up is over differences. We're just different people, and it was time to go off in a different direction doing my own little thing. That's the truth. There's no controversy. There were never any issues between us about trust over money or trust over partnership. There wasn't a controversy, that's why I was surprised when I read this [the comments]. I moved with him three times in two years, too. Damn, I had no life, and, if I'm so comfortable at home, how come I haven't seen it in so long? I kind of felt those remarks said I didn't bust my ass, and, boy did I ever. And will I again. Any way he [Wylder] was categorical in stating that everything was taken out of context and misquoted. I said you know that's interesting. Usually Gene records stuff like that, I said maybe we ought to call him together. He goes, 'No-no.' "

Appleton said that Roy Alexandre productions is coming over with her along with Liquid Video, Decadent D and Bob's Video. "I'm going to be just a distributor that exclusively distributes product for producers and directors, right now," Appleton said. "I'm not going to flood the market with a whole bunch of stuff. I want to come out with quality things, go from there and have fun doing it. I'll give you some juicy gossip, but now that I'm over here with my feet up, I probably won't hear anything good. Just remember, those twilight years can be good. Does this mean, eventually, that I'm going to get to that Airtel place with you and Paul? I'll wear those cute little Fallen Angel pasties that you like so much."
