Antigua Pictures has ventured into a different realm of filmmaking with Sweeet Cheeks, a hardcore animated movie that has taken nearly a year to complete.
The company hit the streets with the innovative release on Wednesday and so far the response has been great, reported Jon Blatt, president of domestic sales.
Sweeet Cheeks, which was animated, produced and directed by newcomer T. Rollie, features the voice talents of Lady Armani, Ms. Melodi Bliss, Obsession, Yumi, Alexis Red, Chelsea Zinn, Cherokee, Tyra, Sharon Wild and Mr. Marcus.
“It’s the first real true animated adult movie that’s been made in a long time,” Blatt said. “It’s taken nine months to a year of hard work, and there is nothing like it on the market and will be nothing like it on the market. A lot of people are giving it a chance.”
The story revolves around Roc, a writer for Sweeet Cheeks magazine in the animation world.
“He got in business to run the DVD and home video department and he wanted first shot at running it and he took upon himself to find the girl with the perfect ass,” said Rollie, a native of Chicago who now resides in Los Angeles and was introduced to Antigua through a mutual friend.
Rollie said he came up with the concept “when I hit rock bottom in my pockets.”
“I said I gotta make a movie. The pressure was on. I thought it’d be cool because I watched a lot of adult films at the time, I thought it’d be cool to make an animated film that really turns you on. I was fantasizing about working for Hustler, and I couldn’t make up my mind about what I wanted to do and that’s how I came up with the story concept. I put together a cartoon about me trying to make it big in the industry.”
Rollie said it started off as just “something cool to show to girls, and maybe speed up my hot dates, and it worked.” His diverse background includes animation, mainstream commercials, work for Liquid TV, Disney website projects, and producing intros and outros for PPV programs on BET shows like “Secret of the Fantasies,” “Naughty Games” and “Heather Hunter Peep Show.”
The main character is Rollie’s alter-ego. He said there are nine sex scenes, which will whet viewers appetites for Sweeet Cheeks 2 already in the works.
“It’s good, juicy stuff, juicy things going into juicy coochies,” Rollie said, adding “The world ain’t ready for our spaghetti baby… This is something that’s going to stick everybody’s bones.”
Meanwhile, Blatt said that Sweeet Cheeks is already the company’s best-selling title this year next to Briana Loves Double Anal.
“If my distributors are going force my hand and not trust my judgments when I say it’s good, I’ll be forced to get up at 4 in the morning and deal with all the accounts again,” he said.
