Anthony Frederick Murder Trial Scheduled

The photographer accused of killing Canadian Natel King, who worked in Adult under the name Taylor Sumers, and his assistant are both scheduled to stand trial in February.

The simultaneous trial of Anthony Frederick, 46, and his assistant Jennifer Mitkus, will start on February 28 and is expected to last five days.

Frederick is charged with first-degree murder, third-degree murder, possession of an instrument of crime, unsworn falsification to authorities and abuse of a corpse for crimes allegedly connected to the murder of King in March of this year.

Mitkus is charged with lying to authorities and as well as hindering apprehension

Although Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce L. Castor Jr. suspects that King may have been killed for a “snuff film,” an illegal pornographic video of someone being killed, he will not be seeking the death penalty for Frederick.

Frederick had booked King, a 23-year-old Canadian, for photo shoot on February 29; she was never seen alive after that day.

King was missing for over three weeks before her body was found in a ravine. A ball gag and rope were discovered near her body, as well as a photographer’s backdrop – one that police say has been identified as one that was used in Frederick’s studio.
