CHARLOTTE, N.C.—Adult performer Anjanette Astoria put a Web 2.0 spin on the casting process for her new movie: She used adult social networking site xPeeps.com to find talent.
The xPeeps.com website is run by video-on-demand provider AEBN. Astoria, who joined xPeeps.com thanks to male performer Steve Holmes, came up with this concept as a way to involve and give back to an online community she enjoys being a part of.
Her movie, The Session, starts filming on June 28, concluding on July 10. Cutoff for casting is June 25.
Casting has begun and talent so far includes Kendra Secrets, Paris Pirelli, Ruby Blow, Seth Dickens, Tony Bones, Tony Rocket, John Janiero, Flash Brown, Kyle Driver, Jim and Holly Woods, Deshaun Hayes, Rodger Lodgepole and xPeeps.com fan Craig.
"We have always liked the idea of a movie starring xPeeps members, but the timing was never right for us," xPeeps' Suzann Knudsen said. "So when Anjanette approached us with her idea, we were glad to come on board with The Session. We know this is going to be a great film and we can't wait to see the great scenes our stars turn out."
Astoria’s ambitious plan over the two-week shot includes filming in multiple cities, including Portland, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas.
