SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Erotic filmmaker Andrew Blake is assembling Paid Companions, a new collection of scenes for DVD release later this year through Studio A Entertainment.
He described it to AVN as a "call girl fantasy from the client's perspective. It's autobiographical - in a fantasy sense." The POV camera puts the viewer in the client's place, with the girls directing their charms at him.
It's something of a showcase for Blake's latest muse, red-haired Faye Reagan (pictured). "She's beautiful, I love her—she's a keeper," he said. Others in the movie include Jayme Langford (current Hustler cover girl), former Ninn Worx exclusive Jana Jordan and a new girl he's billing as Essi-X.
Like all of Blake's recent work the individual scenes will premiere on his membership sites before being issued on DVD.
The director also revealed that he'll be making a personal appearance in New York on June 11 at Swiss Institute, the prestigious contemporary art gallery in Soho, where he'll be heard in a conversation about pornography with Lawrence Wiener, a prominent critic and conceptual art expert.
Blake told AVN that in the future he wants to concentrate more on original work that "can be viewed as video pieces on a wall-a new use for your TV."
He added that he's going after a "more defined separate audience for my work. It's all about finding new revenue streams. It's where the whole business, including Hollywood, is heading, away from DVD."
Blake's latest Studio A release is House Pets. It gets a AAAA Spotlight Pick review in AVN's May issue which, coincidentally, features Faye Reagan as one of four "Fresh New Faces" cover girls.
