Anderson Porn Fighters Disband

The local branch of The Citizens for Community Values is throwing in the towel with plans to resurface as part of the American Family Association- Indiana.

"At this point we feel we're better served in supporting a statewide organization," Dan Sager, the group's coordinator, told The Herald Bulletin. "You can find just about anything on the Internet these days, and in order to exert any influence, you have to have state and nationally based lobbying. With the technology, local effort does not have as much effect as statewide."

Sager said American Family Association-Indiana was chosen because it is an Indiana-based organization.

Sager claims that the Citizens for Community Values are responsible for convincing a number of retailers to stop selling, or at least stop displaying, items that some members of the community found objectionable.

At its peak, the organization had a 16-member board. About 500 people have contributed financially to the group and many others donated time to the effort.

Citizens for Community Values in Indiana was a sister organization to the better known Citizens for Community Values based in Ohio. All together, there are nine sister organizations operating under the CCV name.
