Anabolic Video Selling Chatsworth Office

CHATSWORTH, Calif. — Anabolic Video has put its building at 9222 Owensmouth Ave. on the market for $8.2 million but the company isn't going out of business, says owner/founder Chris Alexander.

"That's a vicious rumor, started by who knows who," Alexander told AVN. "Anabolic has an incredible building that we built a couple of years ago, and it's currently listed with a broker. It would make a great production studio or corporate office. One or two people recently mentioned to different people on my staff that they heard Anabolic was for sale, or out of business. I think there's been some confusion; when I tell people that we have a building for sale, they believe the company's for sale."

Of course, everything is for sale at the right price.

"If anybody wants to make me an offer, I'll be happy to hear it — but as near and dear to my heart as Anabolic is, it would have to be a very generous offer," Alexander said. "But the reality is, the building's for sale. We've slashed the price — we originally had it listed for $11 million — because we all know how real estate's doing these days, but I think the market will turn; we may not be quite at the bottom, but we're darn close, so now's a good time to buy the property."

Alexander is willing to talk lease-back with buyers so that Anabolic can remain at the Chatsworth location. If not, the company will move somewhere else in the Valley.

"We all love the Valley; it's a lot more economical than Venice, where we got our humble beginnings," Alexander laughed.

Meanwhile, Anabolic is throwing a party this Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Clear to celebrate the release of director Ivan's Sweet Cheeks 11. Porn stars Jayden James and Nikki Sexx will join Ivan and friends to screen exclusive footage from the movie.

Clear is located at 11916 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City. The party stars at 9. RSVP at [email protected].
