America West Offering Free Wi-Fi At Phoenix Clubs

America West travelers passing through Phoenix and holding America West Club memberships don’t have to stay out of touch with business, home, or other Internet activities anymore—the airline is offering free wireless Internet access at all three America West Clubs at Sky Harbor International Airport, the airline announced December 8.

“We know our members need to be connected with their homes and offices, so we are pleased to provide wireless Internet access,” said vice president of marketing Travis Christ, announcing the three new Wi-Fi access spots. “Our club customers now have an attractively redecorated, relaxing setting with the necessities of the office at their disposal before, between and after their flights.”

America West Club members with Wi-Fi-enabled computers or other devices can hit the Net from anywhere in the three Phoenix clubs, and they can get on the Net through Ethernet if they don’t have Wi-Fi machines, senior vice president Joe Beery said.

Non-Club members can visit the clubs for a one-time $35 fee, America West said. The Sky Harbor clubs are open 6 a.m.-10 p.m. seven days a week.

America West did not say which of any other America West Clubs—including at Las Vegas McCarran International Airport—would offer similar free Wi-Fi to club members in the coming months.
