During dinner at a popular Beverly Hills eatery recently, famed Screw Magazine publisher and First Amendment hero Al Goldstein [newly single, having avoided his fifth marriage], reveals some intimate details about Gloria Leonard. Leonard, the Free Speech Coalition president, visited the svelte one recently in Amsterdam.
Newly reunited after a few years where the two didn't speak, Goldstein renewed their 20-year friendship by begging for forgiveness. Goldstein flew Leonard to his apartment in Holland for some legal hash-smoking and...well...did they or didn't they?
"Ask Gloria why she sank so low," Goldstein said, referring to the possibility that they may have actually consummated the friendship. "It was wonderful. She's a great lady."
Leonard, when contacted at her office at Private USA, said she loved the trip to Amsterdam.
"Well, we did sleep in the same bed the first night," she admitted, not wanting to elaborate too much. Then she added, coyly, "I don't want people to think we're an item."
Leonard once offered to marry Goldstein, sometime prior to his fourth failed marriage, to prevent him from making another financial blunder.
