Al Goldstein in Lynn Redgrave Love Quadrangle

Screw publisher Al Goldstein claims to be doing a porno movie with Gloria Leonard [not], but, judging from the tone of a recent letter Goldstein sent to actress Lynn Redgrave, Goldstein can certainly put Days of Our Lives to shame. Goldstein's letter to Redgrave talks openly about Goldstein's love affair with Redgrave's nanny [Nickie], the fact that Nickie had a love child with Redgrave's now-estranged husband, John Clark, the jealousy rift between Clark and Goldstein over Nickie and how it affected Goldstein's relationship with Redgrave.

"These facts are pretty much out in the open," Goldstein explains. "They've been written up in all the tabloids." Goldstein writes in the letter that he found it "shocking" that Redgrave knew about the love child, yet kept Nickie under her roof. "But I felt it was not my place to tell you that your husband was a scumbag," Goldstein told Redgrave. Goldstein talks about how Nickie wanted to marry him, but that he [Goldstein] didn't want to pay support for Clark's love child. Goldstein's suspicion was that Clark coerced the nanny into having sex at the threat of pulling her green card.

"I am happy that you are getting rid of the scumbag," Goldstein told Redgrave. Goldstein explains how he got involved in the Redgrave love entanglement to begin with.

Goldstein: "Lynn wrote a letter when I was being sentenced in Kansas. She's been very affirmative to pornography and freedom of expression. I've always considered her a true class act. The fact that her husband fucked around, so what? Everyone does. Nickie is the governess who worked for Lynn. John Clark, the husband, was fucking her. He knocked her up. Nickie had a baby, his son which Lynn didn't know was her husband's son. That's weird enough. It get even weirder. Then John has Nickie marry his [other] son so that he can keep Nickie under the same roof. This is all public record and admitted. My involvement is that I started dating Nickie [about six years ago]. She felt put upon. She told me that John made her blow him or else he was pulling her green card. He didn't acknowledge his fatherhood. He would not take her out because he was cheap and didn't want to run into Lynn's friends. Then John got jealous and cut me out of the friendship. It was a dilemma. On one hand I got a big mouth and wanted to tell Lynn. On the other hand, I felt that if she was that stupid, it was not my place to break up a marriage."

Goldstein said he met Nickie through Redgrave, that he's been over to her house where they've socialized and have had dinner. Goldstein says he's known Redgrave since 1974 when she wrote the letter to a judge in Kansas in support of Goldstein.

Goldstein says he's in the process of building screwmag.com. Full issues of the magazine will be available on the site.
