Too Much Media has entered into an escrow agreement with the law firm of Evans Osborne & Kreizman, making the source code for their Next-generation Administration and Tracking Sysytem (NATS) software available to clients, should the company ever cease operation.
NATS is a payment-processing program used by affiliate programs, which allows them to deliver accurate real-time statistics to partners.
The move is viewed as a cautionary step that would allow users access to the source code and the right to refine and develop it. The company’s release noted this.
“Too Much Media is in a very stable position and we do not foresee this ever happening. This escrow agreement has been made so that anyone who may worry about needing it does not need to worry.”
Evans Osborne & Kreizman will maintain a copy of the NATS source code and a list of all NATS clients, which will be updated on a regular basis.
Copies of the escrow agreement are available to NATS clients at any time.
