HOLLYWOOD — The Licensed Adult Talent Agency Trade Association (LATATA) is holding a red carpet gala Tuesday at Hollywood nightspot Les Deux to raise funds for the adult industry's fight against government intrusion.
"Many people don't realize our industry is living in perilous times, as the government is attempting to restrict and even shut down future production," said LA Direct Models owner Derek Hay. "We need to raise funds to protect everybody's right to shoot and enjoy watching adult movies."
Stars from LATATA agencies will be admitted free to the event, but all others will be asked to donate $20 at the door. All funds generated will go toward the cause at hand.
Participating agencies include: Lisa Ann's Talent Management, Adult Talent Managers (ATM), A List Talent, Type 9 Models, World Modeling, Spiegler Girls, Gold Star Modeling and LA Direct Models. Star already confirmed for attendance are Jenny Hendrix, Shyla Stylez, Lisa Ann, Nikki Benz, Kristina Rose, Camilla Bella, Jaelyn Fox and Priya Rai.
"We wanted to have this important event the same week when many people will be in town for the XRCOs," said ATM owner Shy Love. "This is a very serious situation, and if you are a member of the adult entertainment world or are a fan that appreciates watching these beautiful girls, you need to come down to Les Deux Tuesday, buy a ticket and support the cause."
Red carpet for the event runs from 9 to 11 p.m. Les Deux is located at 1638 North Las Palmas Ave., Hollywood, CA 90028. All members of the media are invited to cover the red carpet with still or video cameras, but only still cameras will be allowed inside the club.
