CHATSWORTH, Calif. - Adult Source Media has taken over worldwide DVD and web distribution for Sherri Holloway's Abigail Productions and its affiliated studios, effective immediately.
Known for distributing adult anime and CG features, Adult Source Media recently added a sister label Sparta Video, which produces an HD gay line. The exclusive deal with Abigail Productions further expands ASM's portfolio to include lesbian movies from Abigail, Pink Box, and Madison Young's Madison Bound Productions.
"I am thrilled to bring Abigail Productions into the ASM fold," said ASM president Wendy Crawford. "We are in growth mode as strong niches still retain their popularity. With our sister company Sparta Video doing so well and all of the attention we have been receiving about Pirates Booty, the first CGI gay adult title ever made, it's just a natural transition to represent the best lesbian line out there today."
The first Abigail Productions release through ASM will be Oren Cohen's sitcom parody The Dirty Facts of Life (pictured), which recently scored mainstream publicity on "Entertainment Tonight," E! Network's "The Soup," TMZ, and in Entertainment Weekly.

Former Girlfriends Films employee Holloway announced in October that she would be handling her own distribution under the banner of GFD Sales and Distribution. That venture is now void in light of the deal with ASM.
