CHATSWORTH, Calif. – Adult Source Media (ASM) is trying its hand at CGI animated porn with the company’s latest feature, Pinks. The original production ships today and streets on Tuesday.
The project took the studio’s new 3D animation arm close to a year to produce, using the same equipment as large mainstream studios such as DreamWorks.
“We brought in a lot of animators from the mainstream for this one,” Adult Source Media’s VP of Sales, Jon Amatucci, told AVN. “It was a very intense and in-depth process.”
According to Amatucci, Pinks will be the first title from the new 3D arm the company has created. ASM now looks to put out two to three CGI productions a year, in addition to its stock of other animated titles.
Directed by AVN award winner David Lord, Pinks tells the story of an urban gang of street racers who start using their girlfriends as bartering chips.
“It’s a great story, sort of like Fast and the Furious. This movie is not sci-fi, like some of the previous CGI productions, it’s real life. The sex scenes are incredible and the race scenes are phenomenal as well…the characters are very life-like. It pretty much has everything in its five sex scenes: girl/girl, black on black, even some Asian flavor.”
