Adult Source Media, a distributor of Japanese adult videos and animation, has recently announced the release of a new, high-definition anime title, Maid in Heaven. The title is produced by Green Bunny, a leading graphic anime producer in Japan.
With Maid in Heaven, Adult Source Media said it would be releasing another graphic anime title to the U.S. market at a faster rate than has been seen in the past. Graphic anime, or hentai, fans are used to having to wait two years or more after a series is released in Japan, before it gains distribution in the U.S. But because of its partnerships with Japanese licensors, Adult Source Media has been able to cut this new release window down to four or five months.
Released in Japan in October of 2005, Maid in Heaven is the story of a man who has fantasized all his life about having his own personal maid. However, the man lives in a single room apartment in the big city, and his meager means provide him no chance to realize his fantasy. But, as the man finds out, you never know what will happen in life.
The two-disc set is the first episode in a two-part series. Maid in Heaven is also the first Adult Source Media title to be dubbed in English.
