Adult Rental and Taboo.com have launched TabooXXXVoD, a white-label Video-on-Demand solution for the Taboo website.
Already a widely popular destination for clothing, fetish goods, costumes, cyber-sex novelties, and live chat rooms, Taboo.com has added the Adult Rental-designed VoD site to its suite of offerings in order to increase the services provided to users.
“TabooXXX allows Taboo.com to present their user base with another avenue of adult,” Adult Rental’s project manager, Paul Armstrong, tells AVNOnline.com. “Right now, their end users are more used to dealing with end products such as lingerie, toys, etc., and this allows them to get into the video market without actually having to set up a brick-and-mortar system for their video or sending their end users somewhere else away from their own website.”
Armstrong notes that Adult Rental has a comprehensive suite of solutions that allows websites like Taboo.com to integrate VoD capability into existing sets of services. All design packages are custom-tailored to suit the needs of the specific website, thereby giving it a “branded” look and feel.
The benefits, he adds, are twofold.
“It benefits us because we get a larger footprint as far as the end users are concerned,” Armstrong says. “Not every end user will be in the adult market. Somebody who buys a vibrator doesn’t necessarily always go out and look for video online, so it opens the door up to that market and lets a larger portion of the world know that VoD is out there, VoD is online, and you don’t necessarily have to go down to the corner store to purchase it or watch it.”
