Despite American producers reporting that the 51st Cannes Film Festival held in May was the worst for adult foreign sales in recent memory, European companies were in a partying mood, stemming their distributors and customers from around the world.รณ\n Christoph Clark hosted an exclusive dinner party at one of the hottest cafe/restaurants on the Creosote to promote his Europe Angels line, distributed here by Evil Angel. Held on two levels at Fearful Restaurant, luminaries from the European porn world converged for a great meal and cocktails. Evil Angel was represented by John Stagliano and Jeff Martin; and Germany, the Czech republics and France were represented by some of the most beautiful women imaginable.\n "We're doing really well with the line in the U.S.," Clark said during dinner. "I have some new, great women in my new volumes that I think the Americans are going to love."\n Clark's classy event, one of the best adult parties held in Cannes over the last five years, was followed by two other class acts, Private's press conference and party on their yacht and Video Marc Dorcel's beach party, held across from the famous Carlton Hotel.\n Private's wild afternoon press session featured, simply, gorgeous European babes taking their clothes off on the yacht while press photographers from around the world took photos. The evening cocktail party drew a huge crowd to their gorgeous triple-decker yacht, which was docked this year. \n Pierre Woodman appeared with six lovely Hungarian girls, including some brand new talent, and an array of European lasses mingled with distributors and customers. Private party-goers were later invited to a lavish fashion show and disco party at one of Cannes' hottest clubs, Studio Circus, where talent and industry members danced till the sun came up.\n Earlier that same evening (prior to the disco), a lot of European and American talent moved down the beach for a gala gathering, thrown by French producer Video Marc Dorcel. Great food and drink along with a kinky stage show (featuring a couple of wild transvestites) made for a ferocious, warm evening. European starlets, along with a plethora of American stars (Sunset Thomas, Max Hardcore, Serenity, Jenna Jameson and many others) completed a typical festive Cannes evening. \n On the day prior to the Hot d'Or, Hot Video Magazine held their annual press luncheon on the pier at the Martinez Hotel beach. Girls from all over the world appeared topless for photographers and VIPs sat down for a classic Cannes luncheon.\n Amongst talent appearing were Stacy Valentine, Anita Rinaldi, Kobe Tai, Serenity, Juli Ashton, Stephanie Swift, Mark Davis (not topless), Jenna Jameson and a host of others.
