Adult Industry Volunteers Support Jerry Lewis Telethon

Bob, vice president of Dane Productions, told AVN.com that the adult industry’s contribution to this year’s Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon this past Saturday through Monday was a success. Bob spearheaded a project that saw him and 16 other volunteers representing the Free Speech Coalition, an industry legal watchdog, during the annual, nationally syndicated telethon.

“A great group of caring people joined me at KCET studios in Los Angeles to help in the battle against neuromuscular Disease,” explained Bob. “The volunteers came and worked tirelessly throughout the evening; manning the phones and taking pledges, both on camera and off.”

Bob was joined by Liz Vasquez, Marty O’Malley, Batman (from KSEX Radio), Tiffany Bell, Michelle Freridge, Dimitri Cosmos, Jonathan Rae, Dave Tobey, Victoria Dunn, Krea Fedak, Ken Trevias, Sherry Ziegelmeyer, Jay Moyes, Michael Fattorosi, Vanessa Blue and Michelle Aston.

“The final total that was contributed to us far exceeded $10,000,” said Bob. “And this was in the form of checks and donations that have already been turned in, even before our appearance on the telethon. The adult industry really came through for the MDA.”

“The volunteers were the best of the best,” continued Bob. “They really helped people. They saw the devastation this disease causes, no matter what age.

“This year was very important to me because there have been key research breakthroughs for Pompe’s disease, muscular dystrophy and other disorders.”

“I am honored to know each of the volunteers and donation makers, proud to be associated with them, and I hope I can count on them again next year to help me.”
