Roy Garcia definitely finds the babes, alright, and brought two of them in for a quick chat Tuesday afternoon in between meetings at Sin City.
Sophie, a gorgeous Hungarian blond, has just been featured on the cover of the January 2000 issue of Club Magazine. But she has yet to shoot a video, working exclusively till now in print. Sophie, however, said she's ready to do girl-girl scenes. She has also shot for such luminaries as Ron Vogel, Stephen Hicks and Hank Londoner and has also been featured in the Australian Penthouse. She's testing Friday with Ken Marcus for the American Penthouse. Adriana on the other hand, a Hispanic brunette, had an appointment with Michael Raven at Sin City to talk a possible contract. According to Garcia, Sin City with a million blonds in their contract stable, is looking for a brunette.
Having also shot for Penthouse, Adriana, a dancer for a little over a year, has been in the adult video business since November and just did her first d.p. in a Hustler Barely Legal video on location in Cabo San Lucas. [According to Garcia, Adriana's also going to be on the cover of the premier issue of a new magazine, Hustler Hardcore Babyface.] She's also worked for Ed Powers, Randy West, Jake Steed, Vivid, Dane and Anabolic Video. "He [Garcia] discovered me," Adriana said.
"G. Ross: "Oh, this is one of those deals where you walk up to a girl in a club.."
Garcia: "I always do that. That's all I do. I don't advertise. I go out and find the exact model I'm looking for. That's the one I want. I talk to her directly one-on-one. Then I bring her to my office and we talk and talk. I try to talk her out of it."
G. Ross: "You try to talk her into it, then you try to talk her out of it?"
Garcia. "I make sure they want to do that, because I work for her. She doesn't work for me."
G. Ross [to Adriana]: "What made you decide to do adult?"
Adriana: "I just wanted to give it a try and see if I liked it."
Garcia: "She [Adriana] had gone to see Michael Raven before for an interview. He called me right away and said he wanted to shoot this girl. This was when she was brand new, but it was Christmas and we didn't get around to it. Adriana'a been very business since the CES show. We've been feeling out the options... Sophie's also in this month's Cheri Magazine.."
Sophie: "It was lots of water. I was freezing. Randy from Stephen Hicks shot it for a whole day. It was fun, I liked it, it was just really cold."
Garcia: "This is her first day out to meet people."
G. Ross [to Sophie]: "Oh, you'll get a contract. No doubt."
Garcia: "Sin City told me they had enough blonds."
Sophie, a former fashion model, says she feels very comfortable, now, taking her clothes off. She started doing it about a year ago in Hungary. "I was really scared at the time," she said. "I didn't know what to do."
G. Ross: "How do you make the switch from being a fashion model to this?"
Sophie: "It's easy. I started it because of the money, but I like it. I hope I'll like girl-girl scenes. I know I will. That's for sure."
Garcia: "Sophie's first scene will probably be with Ed Powers if we can work it out. But he's been so busy. Ed's been my number one client as far as videos go. All the girls go to him first. Ed's got a huge line, has huge distribution; pays really good, pays me good, and he's nice.
"The girls are what this industry is all about - a beautiful girl who wants to be an exhibitionist. Everything else is bullshit. It's not about me although I know my job is necessary. Not that it's that big of a deal to be a porno agent or manager, bit it is necessary for business. If it wasn't worth it, they wouldn't be paying me."
