With the help of the national exposure that Late Night with Conan O'Brian provides, it looks like people who don't have Showtime or an interest in porn are going to learn that Adam Glasser is better known as Seymore Butts.
Tomorrow night Glasser will become the first porn star to appear on a late night network television talk show, when he takes a chair next to Conan O' Brian to promote his Showtime reality series Family Business.
Clips from the show will be shown, and the show's producers have suggested that Glasser come up with porn names for that would be appropriate for O'Brian. "Yeah, I think I've got some pretty good one's for him," said Glasser, though he wouldn't reveal what they were.
"The reaction has been so positive. The best of it is all of the emails I get from people that say 'Gee - I never knew people were so normal in the industry' - that's a great thing," Glasser told AVN.com. "I've gotten proposals via email and via snailmail. I get pictures sent to me from women all over the country. Even in Jamaica, I was just in Jamaica, and even Jamaicans are seeing the show."
Glass was in Jamaica shooting Jamaican Me Horny at the Hedonism II resort with Mari Possa.
Mainstream seems to be treating Glasser pretty well. He has an upcoming appearance on the Mancow radio show and there are plans for a college tour in the Fall. Not that he's planning on giving up his porn career anytime soon - the family business is doing better than ever.
"Our numbers are definitely up. This is all just building momentum for my fanbase. I have two different types of fans - people who knew who I was before Showtime, and people who didn't," said Glasser.
"The people who didn't know who I was before the show - some of them have expressed that they don't really like porn, but say they'll check out mine. Some of them - mostly the girls that have said they like me - they ask me to recommend a porn to them, but say they don't want to see me performing in it," Glasser said, noting that friend of his tend not to watch him perform.
This Friday, Family Business will feature AVN Award footage.
