Adam & Eve Site Redesign Sees Sales Surge

The big boy in Adult retail is getting faster, or at least their Web site is, as Adam & Eve has launched a sleeker version of their online store at AdamEve.com.

In the week since AdamEve.com has re-launched the company has experienced a 29 percent increase in sales from the site, according to CTO Sean Trotter.

“The old site had so much in it that it was slow and hard to navigate. This one is fast and clean,” Trotter told AVNOnline.com.

“The [increase in sales] is just because of the new design because we haven’t really launched any marketing efforts.”

Surfers will notice a few other new features in addition to the site’s increased speed. There are advanced searching options similar to the design of Amazon.com and sorting and viewing features that allow users to shape specific product lists however they want.

Shoppers will also notice the addition of a top sellers list, an online entertainment section and links to all of Adam & Eve’s sites on the home page.

While there are additions, Adam & Eve’s designers – who completed the redesign in three months – pulled out a lot of things to make the site faster. The number of images and products has been reduced, and some functionality has been removed. The site has also been reduced in length by about 50 percent, Trotter said.

“The main reason we did the redesign is because we wanted our customers to have a more pleasurable and faster browsing experience, with not as many images on one page and the slow delivery,” Trotter added. “Everything we did, we based on what we were hearing from our customers through our call center.”

Adam & Eve designers are currently redesigning the company’s other sites, AdamEveGold.com, AdamEveVOD.com, and AdamEveTV.com, for a re-launch in early January.
