Reality TV, with the exception of Americon Idol, seems to love people who have delved into adult entertainment in their past. There was the soft-porn actor turned car salesman who was on Survivor, the bondage girl on Joe Millionaire, and numerous porn stars have appeared on The Fifth Wheel. ABC's reality series Are You Hot: The Search For America's sexiest people asks applicants if they've ever been involved in erotic dancing or pornography, but states that a "yes" won't be held against them.
Reversing the trend of mainstream reality shows poaching from the porn talent pool, Adam & Eve has offered to take on one or more of the future winners of Are You Hot on as a contract-star to the tune of 100k for providing adult audiences with catalog and website modeling, movie, promotional and trade show appearances, and a continued media blitz, perhaps even explicit movie performances.
Are You Hot is a beauty search a la American Idol, where hopefuls from across the country enter the contest and allow their looks to be critiqued on national television. The show, which will have a run of six episodes, is produced by Mike Fleiss, cousin of Hollywood madam Heidi Fleiss.
"We want to give American adults a star that they want," explains Bob Christian, Adam & Eve New Business Manager. "The show, Are You Hot, is the perfect forum for choosing the sexiest, most alluring woman for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The value of the contract will depend on the services and time availability to which the winner can commit."
There is no affiliation or sponsorship relationship between Adam & Eve and either ABC or the series.
