Adam & Eve Helps Families with Thanksgiving Dinners

Sheri Gardner is already getting into the holiday spirit, she says.

Gardner, a customer service representative at Adam & Eve, is among many company employees who have joined together with the company in helping provide 30 Thanksgiving dinners for needy families in the local community.

“It gets everybody in the giving mood,” said Gardner, whose department was in charge of buying boxes of stuffing and potatoes.

Other departments also did their share by providing apples, bananas and oranges while the company bought the turkeys and pies.

Ultimately, more than 30 boxes filled with food were assembled in the company’s shipping department for distribution to local needy families. The boxes were later picked up by Orange County Department of Social Services which will distribute the food to the families.

The company also plans to continue its holiday work with the Christmas Angel Tree effort which will give employees a chance to buy Christmas gifts for local children. Already, plans are underway for employees to buy poinsettias to raise money for the Relay for Life charity event benefiting the American Cancer Society.
