Adam & Eve contract star Carmen Luvana judged prospective talent in New York and Las Vegas as the official auditions began for Reality X: The Search for Adam & Eve, which is billed as the first reality show that will find the "Sexiest Couple in America."
The show is scheduled to debut on May 13 on inDemand pay-per-view.
Luvana joined sex author Tristan Taormino and DJ Whokidd as judges at the AER Lounge on Feb. 12 in New York. Then she and adult newcomer Austin were among the judges at the Red Rock Mansion on Valentine’s Day in Vegas.
“We had a great turnout of couples as well as single males and single females,” Brian Gross, one of the producers, who is also owner of BSG Public Relations, said Wednesday. “There were certainly a lot of interesting people who came out for the audition. We’re going to Florida this week, and so far the e-mail and phone response has been great. A lot of people were really excited to meet Carmen and have her critique them, to see if she thought they had what it took.”
The winning couple will earn a contract with Adam & Eve Productions that the company says is worth up to $250,000. Sixteen finalists will be taken to Hedonism III www.superclubs.com in Jamaica to compete for the top prize.
The next Open Call venue is the CroBar (1445 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139) from 2-8 p.m. on Saturday. Then the show will move to the Lotus Ultra Lounge (1507 E. Seventh Ave. Tampa, FL 33605) from 2-8 p.m. on Feb. 21.
“We were all nervous,” Gross admitted. “We really didn’t know what was going to happen. But now that we have two of these under our belt, I’m so excited with what we’ve accomplished. We want to make it a quality TV series, something that is above and beyond what people have already seen.”
Gross said the diversity of contestants has been impressive.
“When you take people from all over the country and give them the opportunity to be sex stars and try out in front of a panel of adult judges, it’s amazing to see what they do,” he said.
Couples may still submit their home movies by March 1 to win the trip as Adam & Eve will also select winners from tape submissions.
