Access Instructional Media: Unique Erotica for Women and Couples

LAS VEGAS – Dr. Michael Perry has been producing educational erotica for about 15 years through his company Access Instructional Media, and he says that today more than ever, women are major consumers of porn.

Exhibiting at booth B720 in the B2B Marketplace at the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo, Dr. Perry said, “I think [convention goers] really ought to look at the fact that women are more and more interested in porn. It’s a huge market out there. I think it was a bad mistake in a sense to conceive of porn as being produced by men, for men. I think a lot of women are very interested in erotica. I almost don’t even like to say ‘porn,’ I like to call it ‘erotica.’ A lot of them are really into that, and they want to see it. They don’t want to see things that are demeaning, and my products definitely fill that bill.”

Having come from a background originally studying for the Catholic Priesthood, Dr. Perry left that path due to “an authority issue” he had with the system, and went on to earn a doctorate in sex therapy.

“I still am in the health profession,” Dr. Perry said. “My parents are fully aware of what I do now; they still think I’m doing God’s work, which is to help people to have, in this instance, better sex.

“This isn’t porn, yet my stuff is very explicit,” he explained. “I hope it still is eye candy, I hope people can get off watching it, but at the same time, they’re going to learn something. Some people buy it just because they want to get off on it, but despite themselves, they learn something, which is fine with me.

“I really try to give people information that can help them overcome sexual problems or help them have a better sex life, help them be a better lover to their partner,” he continued, “and the AVN show helps me to do that, because I think I do have a unique niche. My stuff is to instruct and to also titillate.”

The newest titles from Access Instructional Media are Super Cyber Sex and Sex That Men Love. And what kind of sex do men love? “Men love to be adventurous, men love to be in charge, they want a very willing partner, they want an adventurous partner, but they still want to be able to introduce her to new and exciting things,” Dr. Perry said. “So there’s lots of new techniques and whatnot in the video that men can bring their partner in with.”
