Abed Brings '#Mystery' to Hyaena Gallery

BURBANK, Calif.—Avant-garde moviemaker and artist Ramzi Abed, aka Mr. E, has a collection of his mainstream and adult work showcased in a month-long exhibit entitled "#Mystery" running throughout August at Burbank's Hyaena Gallery, with an official opening reception taking place this Saturday, August 9.

The event, which will also serve as a premiere party for the Mr. E motion picture Mystery World of Sex, kicks off at 8 p.m. Saturday and is free and open to the public. Hyaena Gallery is located at 1928 W. Olive Ave., Burbank, CA 91506.

On display in the exhibit are portraits and photographs of subjects ranging from Werner Herzog, Mark Borchardt, David J. Haskins and Lloyd Kaufman to adult performers Sarah Shevon, Kaci Starr, Sheena Rose, Marley Mac, Keira Kelly, Cadence St. John, April Flores and Abed's own on-screen alter ego, Brock Doom.

As to Mystery World of Sex, which Abed said has been a year in the making, the auteur describes it as "a very surreal experiment in the realm of the erotic, [which] features numerous film noir-inspired sex scenarios and lots of dark and disturbing music and sound design."
