Abbywinters VP Leaves Company, Returns to U.S.

LOS ANGELES — The woman responsible for making abbywinters.com a dominant force in the DVD market has left the Australian company and is looking to undertake new opportunities in the U.S. adult industry.

Joanne Mason has been in the U.S. since April on a leave of absence from her position as producer and vice president at abbywinters. Taking the leave in order to assist a sick family member here at home, Mason decided to remain in the U.S. and pursue other opportunities with American-based adult companies.

"I'm eager to stay in the adult industry and looking forward to fresh opportunities in adult marketing, management and production," Mason said in a press statement. "I'll miss Australia a lot. The last six months have been a time to focus on family. But now I'm ready to get back to work on new challenges. And it's a good time to part ways with abbywinters as we both grow and move in new directions."

Mason opened abbywinters' Sydney production office in 2007 and oversaw the company's expansion onto DVD. Her most significant accomplishment was brokering the deal for exclusive worldwide distribution of abbywinters titles by Wicked Pictures.

"Jo Mason had a huge impact on abbywinters.com and will be greatly missed," said abbywinters CEO Garion Hall. "Joanne's influence through her inspiration, drive and creativity on our two DVD lines was enormous, and is directly attributable to their huge success in the marketplace."

Echoed Mason, "I have really enjoyed being a part of the fantastic abbywinters.com team. I'll miss working with them a lot."
