AVNONLINE INTERNEXT 200603 - Diary of a Party Animal

The menagerie of parties at this year’s Internext was astounding, with no less than 20 on the Internet side. Throw in entries from big shot AEE attendees like Hustler and Playboy – as well as those from stars like Tera Patrick – and it was virtually impossible that anyone would remain sober.

But this is Vegas, and as I found out once again, what happens here, stays here…unless, of course, you stealthily bring it back to L.A..

Parties weren’t the only tales to tell of this year’s Vegas debauch fest, however. When the parties ended there was always the Venetian’s Circle Bar, or as all those wadded-up receipts in my pocket read, Oculus Bar. Whatever the hell it’s called, it was hard to get away from.

The nights were long. The days were longer. The chicks, however, were more plentiful. Considering guys typically outnumber the women at any webmaster event by at least five to one, this year’s show of shows, as it were, brought a little more than sausage to the table due to the overflow of porn snatch from AEE.

Not at all content to be the bastard child to AEE, the Internext parties are where the online community rose up and thumbed their proverbial nose at their video brethren, doing it bigger, badder, and better.

’Til the cops came a-knockin’, that is.

The lesson: don’t stop fucking shit up until (A) the police show up or (B) you get thrown out.

The bookend parties to Internext Las Vegas both ended prematurely due to Las Vegas’ finest. GFY’s House Party, thrown by CECash and PussyCash, ended around midnight on the show’s opening night when things got a little too noisy. Could the performance by Afroman have anything to do with it? I may never know, since the boys in blue beat me to the scene.

Fittingly the show’s final party, the Amateur Bash, thrown by SpunkyCash and a slew of other programs, ended much the same way.

How surprised was I to find that after ditching the AVN Awards for the Circle Bar, those same people who ditched me for the Amateur Bash were hanging around the casino telling me that the cops came? Actually, in hindsight I’m not very surprised at all.

Nor am I surprised that all the gay-themed and -sponsored parties at Internext were packed to the rafters. The week of debauchery kicked off with PrideBucks’ Qfest and kept running with multiple parties thrown by Cybersocket, and the Gay Webmaster before- and after-parties, not to mention B-Unit’s Behind the Green Door sex fest, the Hustlaball and Maleflixxx’s triumphant Cock & Tail Party.

It’s impossible to highlight all the parties that were thrown, mostly because I was too drunk to remember most of them. However, suffice it to say that the players stepped up to the plate big time this year.

The second installation of EpicCash’s Jungle Bash, put together by Moss Events, topped the last year's fete. EntertainmentCash burst onto the scene with a condo party. National Net checked in with a VIP party, where there was no doubt plenty of Grey Goose flowing courtesy of owner Tony Morgan. MALLcom took over the Treasures gentlemen’s club to treat their affiliates to some fine flesh. Not to be outdone by their video counterparts, the Girls of the Internet party rocked the Sapphire. Inter7’s Rock ’N’ Roll Revue held down the Taquila Cantina. NoCreditCard celebrated 10 years in the business with a champagne reception. 365 Billing and TopBucks did the Venetian’s upscale Vbar at different times. NATS and IncredibleDollars closed down the show in style with their closing party.

Damn, my head is still spinning just thinking about it.
