HOLLYWOOD, Calif. - Renowned photog Justice Howard will be exhibiting works featuring the eccentric and colorful toys of Jim Koch in a show titled "Toys Kill" running Oct. 6-31 at Meltdown on Sunset Blvd.
Sponsored by the AVN Media Network, "Toys Kill" promises an "interesting meld of mediums." Howard's photography, which has been featured regularly in Playboy and Penthouse among many other places, is described in press literature on the show as "wicked yet whimsical," a contrast to the "creepily expressive" nature of Koch's toys.
"I have a real following for what I do," Howard told AVN, "and my stuff is kinda darkly delicious, and there's quite a following for that right now, so I'm sure all those kinds of people will be at the show."
There will be an opening reception Oct. 6 for "Toys Kill" from 7-10 p.m., where Howard's "Muses" print set will be made available, and Koch's new designer toy, the Gosha Doll from Super Rad Toys, will debut. In addition, Howard said organizers are working on procuring a vodka sponsor, and there will be burlesque performances and a DJ.
"It's just gonna be a fun night," she proclaimed. "It's gonna be an event!" For more information, go to www.toyskill.com, and to RSVP for the opening reception, e-mail [email protected].
