AVN Names Ken Wood New Managing Editor @@Bryn Pryor to Direct Feature Film

Ken Wood has been named managing editor of Adult Video News (AVN), effective with the April 2000 issue. Wood will replace current managing editor Mark Logan (Bryn Pryor), who will shortly be taking a sabbatical from the publication to direct a non-adult feature film, intended for theatrical release.

Wood, 23, will take on all of the publication's editorial duties. "I'm excited that AVN has afforded me the opportunity to further my journalistic career," Wood said. "I love the business and look forward to working with all of the companies to continue bringing all of the important adult information to the retailers, distributors, industry personnel and fans who read AVN each month."

Pryor, meanwhile, will stay with the magazine in an advisory capacity until pre-production begins on his long-awaited directorial effort, "The Money Shot," sometime this spring. The film is co-written by Pryor and AVN staff members Rebecca Gray, Ken Brodzinski, aka Ken Michaels, and Bob Pouliot.

"This has worked out wonderfully," Pryor said. "Ken Wood is an excellent editor, young, eager and talented. I can leave AVN in good hands. Meanwhile, people rarely get to fulfill their dreams and making 'The Money Shot' allows me to pursue my first love, which is film." Pryor plans to return to AVN once the film is completed. AVN publisher Paul Fishbein said that Pryor is welcome.

"I feel confident that we have a fine editor in Ken Wood," Fishbein said. "We're a growing company. When Bryn comes back, there will be a place for him here."
