AVN.COM BUSINESS PROFILE - Bouncy Pictures: Virtually Bouncing Toward Success

In many respects, Bouncy Pictures is at the forefront of the highly competitive tech side of the porn world. Though owner Ty Endicott’s imprint is little more than a year old, he’s already introduced a number of user-friendly advances, such as Gogo Extreme, a new DVD bonus feature.

“Gogo Extreme is a button that you can press on the DVD which allows you to watch all of the scenes on the DVD simultaneously,” Endicott explains. “For example, on Smokin’ Blowjobs 2, which is coming out, you’ll be able to see all 12 blowjobs and everything at the same time.” Viewers can then select a scene and zoom in on it without interrupting the action.

Another Bouncy introduction is the Cover Girl to Go feature, which gives consumers a copy of the box cover girl's full scene for that title, pre-ripped into a mpeg 4 Divx file by Bouncy and included in a folder on the DVD itself.

“The girl’s scene is encoded into an mpeg 4 file,” Endicott elaborates. “It’s put into a little folder on the disk. You put the disk into your computer and open up the folder, and you can transfer the file right onto your desktop, and from there import it right into your portable media player and keep it forever. The whole scene.”

But at Bouncy, it’s not all about technology. Endicott is concerned with the current trend in the industry toward rougher depictions of sex. His company is doing the opposite.

“Instead of going more edgy and more violent and more throat gagging, spitting, and slapping like everybody else, we’re going more mainstream, more healthy sex, more positive attitude towards sex and towards women,” says Endicott. “A lot of companies are just competing with each other, trying to be edgier and edgier and more shocking, and the customers, really, they don’t want to see that. That’s not normal sex. They want to see something that’s healthy, that’s good. A lot of times when you see a girl getting throat fucked and her eyes are tearing up and it looks like she’s getting slaughtered, basically, you’re not experiencing her sexuality. That’s not a girl giving a blow job. That’s not seeing how she would look into your eyes, and how she would talk to you while she’s giving a blow job.”

Bouncy’s mission is to bring a more balanced approach to onscreen sexuality.

“That way, you can feel the woman a lot more, and you get a lot more of her mind involved in it, and it’s much more engaging,” offers Endicott. “They say that sex is 75 percent psychological and only 25 percent physical, but everyone focuses on the physical mechanics. ... I’m talking about having the girls engage you. Say things to you that would cut you to the core. Things that would really hit you in a spot that you wouldn’t have expected. Let their sexuality take over the scene. Experience the woman more. At Bouncy, our slogan is ‘Number 1 in Virtual Sex.’ We want you to really experience the girl as much as possible. You’re not going to see the camera flip around to the guy’s face at the last second and show some shit-eating grin.”

The virtual world is a relatively new one, but Bouncy is already pushing to the front of the pack.

“With us, we actually incorporate character driven role playing with choosable storyline points. So instead of, say, for instance, Virtual Sex With Mika Tan, we have My Virtual Boss Mika. It’s a role playing adventure, basically, where Mika actually manages you,” Endicott says. “She gives you a full performance evaluation, she goes through your attire, your attendance, everything.”

Having Ms. Tan act as your boss is only a portion of the virtual good times Bouncy serves up.

“We have My Virtual Mercenary Eva,” Endicott says. “In that one you can actually hire her as a killer [for the record, you can’t really hire her to off somebody]. You can make a down payment. You can get frisked. You can brief her. You can debrief her. All of that in addiction to the full spectrum of virtual sex.”

The owner/director/actor says that his company is, so far, meeting all the expectations of his five-year plan.

“I’ve hit all of my milestones,” Endicott states. “My first video would be sold to other companies, and they would distribute it. And then I would move to a second company that would do more distribution and pay me more for my videos. Then the next step is I would go to a company; I would package it and let them distribute it. And then after that I would package it and distribute it on my own. And I’m at that final stage now. But I’ve got to give mad props to Tony Cleary from Wicked, because he’s helped my career more than anyone. I couldn’t have done this alone.”
