AVN Awards on Stern TV

The AVN Awards Show segment featuring Beetlejuice, which aired on radio last week, played Howard Stern's national TV show this past Saturday night. "The Adult Video News Awards is like being in the bizarre-o world," Stern observed. "People really take this seriously." To illustrate his point, Stern ran clips of Jonathan Morgan's acceptance speech which prompted tears from Serenity and Tristan Taormino's speech thanking Buttman John Stagliano for giving her a chance when no one else would.

The TV segment also showed clips of the awards show and behind-the-scenes segments of Beetlejuice being coached by producer Mike Gange who advises him not to leave the stage until "they pull you off." In that respect, Beetlejuice's mission was a complete success.

AVN publisher Paul Fishbein also got national air play with his Beetlejuice intro followed by the juice's almost incomprehensible acceptance speech, complete with cuts to Gange feeding him his lines through an earpiece. "The speech went good," Beetlejuice told the backstage camera crew. Then came segments that a lot of people never got to see, among which included a bevy of porn girls fawning over Beetlejuice after the show. Beetlejuice began soliciting favors. "Why not? Try everything once," Katja Kean told the cameras.
