CHATSWORTH, Calif.—AVN Media Network, organizers of the annual AVN Awards, is proud to announce comedienne and actress Rebekah Kochan as comedy co-host for the 2014 AVN Awards. The ceremony takes place at The Joint in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas on Saturday, January 18, 2014.
The gorgeous Rebekah Kochan is one of standup’s most versatile performers. Kochan made her movie debut in the critically acclaimed 2004 gay comedy Eating Out. She has since gone on to star in all four of its sequels. Kochan is also a writer for Joan Rivers on E! Entertainment Television’s high-rated talk show, Fashion Police, and co-starred alongside Adrian Brody, Michelle Rodriguez, and Lindsay Lohan in the indie-comedy hit InAPPropriate Comedy. Many in the entertainment industry have described Kochran as Sarah Silverman, Daniel Tosh and Lucille Ball all wrapped into one.
“It’s an honor to be joining the ranks of all the amazing AVN hosts who have come before me to host the sexiest, most exciting show on the planet!” exclaims Kochan.
Kochan joins the ranks of previous AVN Awards comedy co-hosts Lisa Lampanelli, Dave Attell, Jim Norton, April Macie, Thea Vidale, and Robert Schimmel. Much of Kochan’s routine will appear in the awards’ national broadcast later in 2014.
“Rebekah Kochan is one of the funniest comedians working today, and we are honored to have her be part of our show,” said AVN CEO Theo Sapoutzis. “Her humor plays across the board; it’s edgy, but relatable, and always unpredictable. We look forward to watching her work the room. It’s going to be a fun and special night for everyone.”
