ASM Making 'Avatar' and 'Alice in Wonderland' 3D Animated Parodies

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—Adult Source Media announced Thursday it has two computer-generated 3D animation parodies in development—Alice in Wonderland and Avatar. Both titles are being created for the straight market and are slated to street later this summer, said the company.

“I thought these movies really lent themselves to our particular brand of imaginative animation,” said director Wendy Crawford. “Because of the medium we are using, we are really able to dream up new worlds and take our audiences to places that live action 2D parodies simply can't match.”

Using the same techniques they used on previous blockbuster titles like Pinks and Pleasure Island, and best-selling blockbuster gay titles Pirates Booty and Tales from the Gods, Crawford said her team of dedicated animators is already painstakingly recreating some of the most memorable details of the movies and taking the story places no one ever dreamed.

With so much anticipation about the project, writer/director Crawford is doing her best to keep all her cards close to her vest.

“I can't tell you too much at this time,” she explained. “I don't want to ruin the surprise. I'm really biting my tongue on this. We will be releasing sneak peeks over the next few months.”
