ASACP Hires First Membership Coordinator

Citing a year and a half's worth of growth from a volunteer-based group to a group with an advisory council, sponsors, approved members, executive director, volunteer chief operating officer, and compliance manager/site reviewer, Adult Sites Against Child Pornography has hired its first membership coordinator.

Identified only as Gracie in the group's announcement, she will manage the approved member program and service its members, according to an announcement from executive director Joan Irvine.

"The Advisory Council approved the position in February," Irvine told AVN.com. "It took a while to find someone who fit my criteria who was willing to work part-time with the possibility of viewing child porn. But, hopefully, she will never see it."

Gracie has worked for Arizona University's College of Law as well as cultural diversity groups at Pittsburgh State University. Her experience also includes organizing events addressing social issues like ethnicity, racism, sexual preference, and others, plus volunteering as a group leader at a mental health program for sexually and emotionally abused children, Irvine said.
