Candy Apples \nLOS ANGELES - Candy Apples has to wait to break the gangbang record, after the Los Angeles Police Department closed her stab at it late Saturday afternoon.
Director Jim Powers tells Gene Ross Candy Apples had taken on 742 before the LAPD closure, and was "sure" to break a record between 2,000 and 3,000. Sugardaddy video series producer Dave Cummings told Ross that she would have reached at least a thousand had it not been for the police visit.
"Taxpayers might question the amount of time and number cops at the event, instead of being out on patrol where their presence might have prevented some muggings, burglaries, robberies, traffic fatalities, etc," Cummings says.
Candy Apples began the event dressed a la Tinkerbell. She had promoted the event on Howard Stern's show a week earlier.
Meanwhile, she tells Ross she's preparing for her marriage later this month (Oct. 23) and that a gangbang was "excellent preparation" for her honeymoon.
"I'm feeling really good," she tells Ross. "I was a little nervous when I got here, but I'm mostly excited; a little overwhelmed. But I'm really confident. I've been on a couple of the other ones as a fluffer."
Powers says the police visit wasn't the only disruption - days before the gangbang, he tells Ross, he had "a run-in of sorts" with the Adult Industry Medical HealthCare Foundation over HIV testing. AIM wanted the full PCR-DNA test, while Powers wanted an on-the-spot Eliza test.
"You go and throw a gangbang, and everybody wants to ruin the party," Powers said. "My perception was, if you're wearing a condom, what's wrong with an Eliza test?"
He says they were trying to get DNA testing on everyone there as it was. An AIM representative attended the gangbang for safety's sake.
"It's unbelievable," Powers tells Ross. "It's like having your aunt sent down here, yelling at you. But it all worked out."
AIM perhaps had good reason to be skittish - they had announced the day before that veteran adult star Tony Montana had tested positive for AIDS and three actresses who'd worked with him recently, including Sabrina Johnson (who's hoping to set her own gangbang record New Year's Eve in an online broadcast event), were being quarantined from work until their test results came back.
Johnson's producer told AVN On The Net last Friday afternoon she had done only an oral sex scene with Montana and they were expecting her test to return negative.
