The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee (APAC) issued the following announcement Thursday afternoon:
CHATSWORTH, Calif.—The Adult Performer Advocacy Committee would like to invite members of the adult performer community to attend "Navigating Personal Relationships in Porn," a question-and-answer panel that will take place during the first half of APAC's scheduled Nov. 2 meeting. The panel discussion will cover how to integrate friends, family and romantic relationships into your life as an adult performer. The event will feature Relationship Expert Bannigan McDade, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Kate Loree and Doctor of Clinical Sexology and Human Sexuality, Dr. Chris Donaghue.
APAC's mission is to support the safety, happiness, and well-being of individual performers, and our community.
APAC President Chanel Preston empathized, "We know it can be challenging to maintain healthy personal relationships in this industry because of the stigma and scrutiny associated with sex work. We hope this panel can help performers navigate and understand their own relationships while maintaining a career in the adult film industry."
This panel is part of a series of monthly events planned by APAC to foster community and growth amongst performers.
