AN ELECTRIFYING POWER OUTAGE?

Topless dancers are said to have a power all their own, but this one had the power to knock power out in Seattle Wednesday morning.

While also doing a fire-breathing routine, a woman danced topless on an electrical tower, causing a rush-hour traffic paralysis and forcing a power failure for five thousand homes and businesses, says the Associated Press.

Seattle City Light cut the power for her protection.

Police managed to urge her down before 9 a.m., and she put on a halter top and climbed down the tower. She was then arrested for indecent exposure and investigation of criminal trespass, the AP says.

She was first seen, apparently, at about 7:26 a.m., on a tower which carries electrical lines next to an interstate bridge over Lake Washington Ship Canal, says the AP. She was stripped to shorts, drinking vodka, gyrating, spitting the vodka from her mouth, and lighting it on fire, a police spokeswoman told the AP.

It's not known yet what provoked her to climb the tower and perform her routine.
