Amateur Adult video distributors AMVC.com has purchased the rights to the Eden Pictures catalog, an amateur gay production company, for an undisclosed amount.
The deal gives AMVC all rights to Eden’s films, including several gay videos they were already distributing, some unreleased gay footage, and one unreleased straight amateur video.
“The owner of Eden Pictures approached us, stating that he’s decided to leave the Adult video business and offered us a good price, so we thought it would be a good investment and took him up on his offer” said AMVC co-owner Allen McNulty.
AMVC is about to launch a straight video line called Love Shack Videos and has plans to include the unreleased Eden title as part of it. The gay titles will probably remain labeled as Eden Pictures, McNulty said.
The acquisition also included an inventory of DVDs, VHS tapes, digital photos, the Eden domain name and an email list, among other things.
“We’re sad Eden Pictures will not have any new films after we release the remaining footage,” McNulty said, “but we understand the former owner’s reasons and wish him the best in all his future endeavors.”
