TARZANA, Calif.—AMKingdom’s upcoming sci-fi feature Saving Humanity has wrapped principal photography and started its extensive digital post-production phase.
In addition to top billed star James Deen, the A-list cast includes Andy San Dimas, Celeste Star, Riley Reid, Skin Diamond, Sinn Sage, Tara Lynn Foxx, Sativa Verte and more.
The feature is co-directed and co-written by AMKingdom.com owner Kim Nielsen and Revenge of the Petites writer/director Harry Sparks. Petites cinematographer Jinish Shah also returned to helm the camera.
“Saving Humanity is our most ambitious project to date,” Nielsen said. “We’ve brought in the most professional and gifted talent in the industry, on screen and behind the camera. This is going to be quite the film when it is released; we’re extremely proud.”
The AMKingdom.com sophomore offering is described as a cautionary tale about what may lie ahead for society: After getting a glimpse of a disastrous future, a scientist from the year 2054 travels back in time to the Prehistoric Era, the 1950s and 2013 to recruit a team of gifted young women in an effort to defeat the evil Corporation and save the human race from extinction.
Saving Humanity also stars Cindy Starfall, Ana Foxxx, Ela Darling, Seth Dickens, Anthony Rosano, Alex Chance and Beryl Aspen, plus numerous extras.
“It was so much fun working on this project,” Deen said. “It’s a novel concept with a strong message, a great script, and an absolutely fantastic cast. The whole team was amazing to work with, and I’m looking forward to seeing the end result.”
The movie also includes a large choreographed dance number, with an original song performed by Andy San Dimas.
“My Saving Humanity experience crossed the people I love from porn with the grandiose production hierarchy of mainstream film,” Darling commented. “Dance class was arduous, but when your porno classmates cool down by stripping and goof off by twerking and exchanging lap dances, it's hard not to have a great day. Repeating the same physically challenging dance scene was frustrating, but James Deen lightened the blow by leading us all in a sudden Little Mermaid sing-along. It was a unique and special experience.”
Starfall echoed Ela’s sentiment, adding, “I really enjoyed being on set with AMKingdom.com; I had a blast getting to know everyone, and working with such professional people.”
As the project enters its digital post-production phase, the burden of creating the computer-generated visuals fall on Digital Dave of Triple-X Effects.
“Now that shooting is complete, the heavy work begins on my end,” Dave said. “Many scenes have elements that need to be added with CGI, such as a saber-toothed tiger in our prehistoric scenes, or our mysterious floating monolith. Other scenes were filmed on green screen, so the entire world our characters inhabit needs to be created from scratch. There are even shots, such as our shuttlecraft escape, that need to be created entirely within the computer. It’s a huge task, but fortunately we got the ball rolling back in January, so much of the work is already well under way."
Saving Humanity will seek a R-rating from the MPAA, and will receive theatrical, DVD, VOD and cable distribution. Nielsen plans to first release Saving Humanity as an R-rated movie, followed by a Director’s Cut, which will include sex scenes. The mainstream release date is slated for September 2013; the XXX Director’s Cut will be released in January 2014.
