Sharon Mitchell reports that an HIV positive case has been uncovered. According to Mitchell, Niki Lae, is a newcomer to the business. "She had worked with two people who had been at the East Coast Video show," Mitchell says. "But it was with an ELIZA test only. The two people she did work with were in our data base and had cleared out negative."
Mitchell: "On January 12, Niki Lae was detected for HIV by PCR-DNA screening and was determined positive by confirmatory tests the following day. Ms. Lae is an east coast talent member that only had previous experience working at the ECVS. At that time she had only been tested by ELIZA apparently in September. I have not seen a copy of that test. She had three partners during that time, one of which was her husband. Another was a member of talent who has cleared out three times by PCR-DNA since that time. A third partner is Ashley Heart who has been contacted and is testing ASAP. Ashley Hearet's last negative PCR-DNA was 9/9/99.
