AIM Health Care is opening a new facility in Sherman Oaks on May 23 after waiting seven weeks for construction to be completed.
“We are so pleased,” said Sharon Mitchell PhD., executive director of AIM. “We have taken the time to build this facility to the specification of the needs of our clients."
AIM will maintain the same office hours and phone number (818) 981-5681. The actual location is 4630 Van Nuys Blvd., lower level, in Sherman Oaks, 91403. It will be the green building at the corner of Kling Street, but noticeably near the south on-ramp of the 101 Freeway.
There will be four private exam and draw rooms, two private executive and counseling offices, a modern lobby, two restrooms, an employee lounge and a brick, radius wall with two windows so clients will not have to wait in line to pick up results. AIM said it would have more doctors’ hours for walk-ins and appointments for gynecology and general health check-ups, and it will continue to have the “recovery” and “abuse” groups on the same nights.
AIM still has its Woodland Hills location for West Valley clients. The foundation noted there is one situation that will not change – the Sherman Oaks parking will have to remain on the street, but the spaces are more available than the former location on Ventura Blvd.
AIM said that civilians are welcome as usual.
