AIM Finds HIV-Positive Result

Today a new performer in the adult entertainment industry tested HIV-Positive, something he was informed of while waiting to shoot a scheduled bisexual video produced by bisexual video production company.

Fortunately, the proudction company asked for his test results instead of allowing the shoot to go forward.

"We caught it in time but I think its very important that the community understand that HIV is in society and can make its way into porn, so please continue to get tested," Sharon Mitchell, founder of AIM, told AVN.com. "AIM is doing their job, the companies are doing their job, but we should never shoot without the final test results on set."

The individual in question has possibly performed in gay porn previously. Production companies that may have been working with him have been notified. The individual has been given free counseling and will be referred to the appropriate agencies to receive medications.

Mitchell reports that there are approximately 1-4 HIV-Positive results a month, always from people attempting to get into the adult industry.
