LAS VEGAS—There are more than just business seminars being offered at this year's AVN Adult Entertainment Expo ... a lot more, in fact, all fun for the whole family (provided the whole family is over 18) and all happening in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's new Vinyl Nightclub, located directly across from the Ainsworth lounge by the AEE fan entrance.
For the first time ever, two of the year's most highly acclaimed adult motion pictures—Wasteland from Elegant Angel Productions and Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody from Vivid Entertainment, both up for myriad AVN Awards—will be screened in their non-sex versions for attendees, with introductions by respective directors Graham Travis and Axel Braun. Wasteland screens at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, and Star Wars XXX screens at the same time Friday.
Speaking of the AVN Awards, the co-hosts for the 30th anniversary show, Asa Akira and Jesse Jane, sit down for a get-to-know-you chat in Vinyl at 2:30 p.m. Thursday. That follows a 1:30 presentation of Inside the Porn Actor's Studio with James Bartholet, currently up for his third shot at the AVN Award for Best Non-Sex Performance. Then at 1:30 p.m. Friday, reigning AVN Best New Starlet Brooklyn Lee moderates a panel with all of the 2013 nominees for that coveted title.
On Saturday at noon, porn's current poster boy, James Deen, engages in a one-on-one discussion of his blast to fame over the past year and his views on straddling the line between porn and mainstream.
Thursday night at 9 p.m., comedian Sam Tripoli presents his famed Naughty Show with fellow comics
Doug Benson, Brian Redban, Bunny Fever, Jayson Thibault and Jason Rouse, joined by Girlfriends Films stars Prinzzess, India Summer and Dana DeArmond. Then Friday night, comedian Colin Kane performs a solo show at 9:30 p.m., followed by a rock n' roll set at 11 by porn wailers GangBanged, fronted by world famous cocksman Evan Stone.
Two more rock show are set to take the stage over, the first by mind-blowing cover band Mini KISS tonight at 10 p.m., and the second by Zebrahead tomorrow night at 11.
Finally, Sam Tripoli returns to Vinyl Saturday night to host a live-streamed viewing of the 2013 AVN Awards Show, kicking off at 9 p.m. Those with an AEE Party Pass will be admitted to the viewing party, or tickets may be purchased at the door for $50.
