AEE/ANE Announce Show Seminar Schedule

CHATSWORTH, Calif.—AVN Media Network is pleased to announce that the seminar schedule for January’s Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE) and Adult Novelty Expo (ANE) has been released and posted to the website for each event, available here and here.

Seminars are spread across the four days (Jan. 18-21) that encompass the two shows, which this year take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The topics addressed cover an array of subjects with direct relevance to attendees of both shows.

The schedule also includes a first-ever joint keynote address by LFP Executive VP Theresa Flynt and Hustler President Michael Klein, which takes place Friday, Jan. 20 from 2 to 3 p.m.

For attendees from the novelty sector, seminar offerings include Not in My Backyard (Jan 18, 10-11 a.m.), which looks at the current state of brick-and-mortar zoning laws, and What’s in Your Sex Toy? (Jan 19, 10-11 a.m.) which explores the ingredients that go into making sex toys.

The Novelty Power Players panel (Jan. 19, 2-3 p.m.) features a group of industry leaders speaking about the current state of their businesses and the industry as a whole. Of course, Theresa Flynt—who has managed the Hustler Hollywood stores since the founding of the boutique chain—will address issues related to the pleasure product sector during her part of the keynote address.

“I’m pleased with the novelty topics on the schedule this year and the level of panelists who have committed to participating,” said AVN senior editor Sherri Shaulis. “As the industry continues to evolve, we endeavor as always to address that evolution as directly as possible.”

For AEE attendees, the schedule of seminars is equally concentrated on subjects of interest to members of the industry, from legal issues and concerns about piracy and testing for performers to the making of porn parodies and the exploration of new opportunities in mobile.

Seminars include The Perils and Potentials of Parody Porn, featuring a stellar panel of performers and directors who consistently breathe new creative life into the niche and The Nuts and Bolts of APHSS, which explores the inner working of the industry’s newest testing facilities.

The AEE Power Players panel, like its novelty counterpart, features acknowledged leaders in the industry sharing their expertise with others. And of course, Michael Klein brings an astonishing level of hands-on knowledge about broadcast, production and web issues to bear in his part of the AEE/ANE keynote address.

“As always, the January shows will be abuzz with show activity, in exhibit halls as well as throughout the hotel, but we hope that the educational lineup this year will also pique the interest of our attendees and inspire them to take the time to participate in these special events,” said AVN senior editor Tom Hymes.
