AEBN Intends To Expand Into German Market This Summer

Adult Entertainment Broadcasting Network has officially purchased AEBN.de, and a German language version of the streaming video and theater Website is expected to launch in late summer.

"Let's put it this way," said public relations director Jo to AVN Online.com early June 5. "Our target launch date is August."

The plan is to begin the launch with the AEBN streaming feed consoles, Jo said, and then bring forth the AEBN theater consoles. And the company plans to go to a dialer system for the German site. "We're negotiating for a dialer contract," she said, "and as soon as it's set up, we'll move into pay-per-view."

Work still to be done includes setting up a new template system "so German Webmasters who don't speak English can still have their dirty movies," chuckled Jo.

The deal had been in the works since last year's Christmas season. According to Jo, the company's original European launch focus shifted. "We were originally planning to launch in Spanish first," she said. "We've done a couple of sites into Spanish, but I don't know if the translation and launch is done yet. But the German market literally grabbed us very quickly. They were the ones contacting us. And luckily, Dave Lewis, (our) head of international marketing, speaks German."

The move comes at a particularly fortuitous time for AEBN: they've remodeled their home facility and are doubling their staff. With the international movement now reality for them, they're hiring more Webmasters, "actively looking for Webmaster fluent in both reading and writing other languages," Jo said.

"Our expansion will eventually go to the Far East," she continued. "Basically, the countries that contact us first, is where we'll branch out."
