Adam & Eve Productions is hitting the DVD market considerably this year, says sales representative Gina Phelps at CES 2000 here.
At least four new Adam & Eve releases are slated for DVD issue: Hard Bound, starring Nina Hartley, T.J. Hart, Tina Tyler, and Adam & Eve's first male contract player, Dale DaBone; Caribbean Undercover, starring Tara Patrick and six new European players and shot on location in St. Maarten; Wildflower, with Asia Carrera, Jill Kelly, and Stacy Valentine; and, Skintight, with Gina Ryder, Charlie, Alicia, Julie Meadows, Salina Del Rey, Teri Star, and Linda Storm.
Hard Bound has just been released, with the other films expected out on DVD by the end of March, Phelps says.
"We are trying to delve into (DVD) full force," she says. "I think it's going to look really, really good, I'm really excited about it." Especially, she continues, considering the increasing number of tropical locales Adam & Eve Productions wants to try using along with high production.
Phelps acknowledges that tropical settings have become something of a niche market in adult film. "That's some of our movies, but it's not all of them," she says. "But it's definitely going to be a kind of Caribbean year for us, at least in the beginning."
The studio is also looking to make a few new contract signings, but Phelps says those are only in the hunt-and-negotiate stages for now.
